Artist Yun Bin gives shape to the numerous ‘strokes’ that exist in our heart. These strokes could mean the suffering, fears, hopes or passions that we experience.
Over these strokes, the artist expresses emotional knots, or overlaps self-portraits or others’ existences. Then, the vague faces in her paintings appear as if they were hiding behind the strokes, or they show themselves slowly and gradually.
Through her peculiar strokes, shapes and colors, artist Yun leads viewers introvertedly to their own inner world.
작가 윤 빈은 우리의 마음속에 담겨 있는 수많은 획을 형상화해낸다. 이 획들은 한때 가졌던 괴로움이나 불안, 두려움, 혹은 희망이나 열정일지도 모른다.
작가는 그 많은 획 위에 마음속의 응어리를 표현해내기도 하고, 우리 자신의 자화상 또는 타인의 존재를 중첩시키기도 한다. 작품 속에 희미하게 보이는 인물의 모습은 물감의 형상 뒤에 숨은 듯 보이기도 하고, 서서히 그 모습을 드러내기도 한다.
이러한 특이한 형상과 선, 그리고 색감을 통해 작가는 관람자를 깊은 내면의 세계로 자연스럽게 이끈다.
